Oregon Inlet Lifesaving Station (1897)

March 8 & 15, 2023, 11a-1p

Class will be held as a live Zoom session on 2 Wednesdays and recorded for attendees.

The Life Saving Station at Oregon Inlet is a North Carolina historical site on the National Register of Historic Places and can be seen by drivers traveling over the Bonner Bridge , Hatteras Island, NC. The station has been preserved but is unopened to the public. Shifting sands are constantly changing, building up, and create mysterious setting for the 1897 building. My inspiration is from a wonderful photo taken by Rick Ward.

I’ve painted on an 11 x 14″ canvas with DecoArt Americana and Traditions acrylics.
