Trees in Snow

Trees in winter displaying their graceful forms are beautiful against a snowy landscape. Winter is a season where we can explore the structure of trees without their other three season glory. Thinking about the upcoming winter season in art I was inspired to paint 2 small canvases of trees in the snow, just two different snippets celebrating winter trees.

“Trees are poems that the earth writes upon the sky.”

I painted with DecoArt Acrylics on 2 5×5″ canvases. You can choose your own surfaces. Colors are flexible. We’ll focus on values.

Trees in the Snow will begin as a Face Book Live video class on Wed Nov 4, 2020, with the second class on Wed Nov 11, 11a – 12:30p each day. Classes are offered as weekly classes to allow time for homework and learning. Critiques are encouraged and offered weekly.

Classes are skill oriented rather than project oriented: I’ll teach the art theory and technique for this painting. I hope to inspire your creativity while challenging you to increase your knowledge and skills.

After the Live portion the class is available as video if you are unable to attend at the scheduled time or if you would like to take the class at a later date.

The videos are available for you to watch as many times as you would like, rewind, and view again. Ask questions in comments and I’ll answer or you can send me an email. Enjoy!
Join me for some fun learning.
